Secondary Schools

Knowledge and understanding of the environment is a key part of the Science curriculum and Essex Outdoors offers the opportunity for practical environmental science study at KS3, GCSE, AS and A2 level, at either the well-equipped Pelham Centre for Environmental Education or Daws Hall Nature Reserve. Alternatively, we can arrange a course at a site local to you.

We can provide all the materials needed for fieldwork and data interpretation, complementing your work at school. Laptops are used for data logging and data handling, so that results can be collated and interpreted whilst ensuring that the maximum time is spent on outdoor investigations.

At the Pelham and Daws Hall Centres for Environmental Education, habitats include woodland, grassland and meadows, ponds, streams and rivers.

Our Secondary School programmes are led by experienced and adaptable teaching staff who are happy to discuss your precise requirements and ensure you meet your desired outcomes.
