On 1st October 2013 the Health and Safety Executive announced big changes to First Aid cover in the workplace. Employers are now responsible for not only risk assessing the volume of First Aid cover but also the type of cover required. Is your organisation properly covered? The Basic Life Support (BLS), course is for people who need basic life-saving skills and knowledge in a variety of work and leisure environments. It is also the ideal vehicle for refreshing the main skills of first aid for anyone who holds a current first aid certificate.
The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), course is for people who need basic life-saving skills and knowledge in a variety of work and leisure environments. This course covers all the Basic Life Support elements as well as basic support for choking, external bleeding, shock and minor injuries such as burns & scalds, splinters, bruises, grazes in both indoor and outdoor working environments.
