Five of our cabins; our dining hall; our conference room/classroom; our toilets and shower blocks; and the majority of our activities, are fully accessible for disabled people.
Our newly renovated cabins provide a great alternative to tented accommodation. Heating and electricity allow you to keep warm while you rest or work, and all of the cabins are equipped with separate leader quarters, wet room and porch.
We have 5 cabins which sleep 8 in the main room, plus 2 in the leader's room; and 5 cabins which sleep 10 in the main room, plus 2 in the leader's room.
In addition, five of our cabins have fully accessible showers/wet rooms, with shower chairs and toilet support/brace bars; and our toilet and shower block also has a unisex accessible shower/wet room, with shower chairs and toilet support/brace bars, as well as separate male and female accessible toilets with support/brace bars.
As part of our newly renovated accommodation we now have a Dining Hall. This can seat between 80 and 100 (80 around tables, 100 theatre-style). It is fully equipped as a dining area, function room, and social area.
Danbury boasts two conferencing suites.
Our state of the art conference rooms include air-conditioning, interactive smart board, networked PC connectivity, dedicated WC, flip chart, and OHP facilities, Seat 30-45 or 80-100 around tables or in a 'theatre'-style depending on which suite.
Groups looking for the traditional camping experience can hire our tents and equipment, and have food supplied, at surprisingly low prices. You also receive a marquee for eating and socialising in.
Alternatively, recognised groups and organizations may make use of our site for self-contained camping. Additional marquees, ranging in size from 12' x 12' to 80' x 40', are also available to hire on-site.
*Self catering only available in 28-bed residential unit, or for DofE expediiton groups.
Unfortunately casual or private camping is not available at Danbury.
